New Columbia Distillers is using DC Brau beer to distill something else. With 65 cases of canned beer only 2/3 full due to a mistake in the canning line, DC Brau co-founder Brandon Skall sent his stock to New Columbia Distillers’ John Uselton to make gin. He expects to produce approximately 15 gallons of the gin, but the final product is not yet decided. Perhaps an unaged white whiskey, or an aged eau de vie — which would mean another 4 to 10 months of preparations.
